Small Group Real Yunque Rainforest Tour (Road 191)

On this tour we go scenic thru the northeast coast passing town the Town of Loiza, cradle to our African heritage and seeing various beaches and the picturesque area of Piñones. From there we will go up into EL YUNQUE RAINFOREST (road 191) and do various scenic stops.

  • Yokahu Observation Tower
  • Baño Grande Pool

This stops are next to the road, effortless and beautiful photos 📸 opportunities.

From there we go to a private property on the outskirts of the Rainforest where you can do either a 5 to 7 minutes hike or a 2 to 3 minutes walk that leads into the beautiful Mameyes River (main artery of the forest)

This spot has everything for everyone, swallow ends, private natural pools, rope swing and jumps. (55min)

From there we will do a scenic drive thru the middle of the forest to Puente Roto Recreational Area, where you can enjoy great photo opportunities or explore the river at your leisure (45min)

Duration: Allow for 5 to 6 hours from pick up to drop off.

When: Mondays through Saturdays.

Who: We welcome ages 7 and over. Participants must be physically able and have balance to walk on un-even terrain.

What to bring and how to prepare:

  • Dress comfortable – Shorts and t-shirt or Dri-Fit Clothing
  • Swimming suit on at the time of pick up
  • Bring a towel
  • Poncho or rain jacket
  • Sunblock / Hats or Caps / Sunglasses
  • Wear comfortable shoes for walking in slippery and wet terrain (sneakers or sport sandals)
  • Extra change of clothes.

Included in the cost:

  • Transportation round trip from designated areas of San Juan (Old San Juan, Plaza Colón), Condado,
    Miramar, Carolina (Isla Verde)
  • All entrance fees.
  • Bottles of water.
  • Life jackets (one size fits all 80+lb)
  • Certified tour guide for the duration of the excursion.
